The Sociology of Islam and Muslim Societies has a new website. It has a number of interesting features like reflection pieces by scholars in the field, a forum where registered members can post questions and comments, interviews and many useful announcements. I was born and raised in Morocco. My research focuses on the intersections between Islam, Arab popular culture and the media. I'm currently an assistant professor in the School of Journalism at the University of Colorado-Boulder.
